Looking to Holy Week (13 April)

Here we are at the sixth Sunday of Lent and we know the gospel so well (taken from Luke chapter 23) that we could probably recite parts of it. The ultimate question for each of us is where we stand in relation to that crowd that gathered at Jesus’ Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem. Are we watching in wonder and awe, are we caught up in the excitement of the crowd? Palm Sunday day brings us the opportunity of an individual Journey in with Jesus. I have heard it said that the longest journey each of us makes is around 9 inches or around 23 cm from our head to our heart. For this is surely where we are invited to rest in the coming days. It is time to exercise our imagination and to enter images created by word and music, so that Holy Week becomes personal. I pray a blessed time for each of you. I look forward to journeying Holy Week across both of our worship centres and an ecumenical walk as well.

Love and blessings,

Linda
