Following the season of Epiphany we commence the season of Lent, a 40-day period of watching and waiting, a time to clear away the rubbish in our lives to make room for new life. Join us for this season as we watch, pray and wait. Lent is also a season of study and reflection. Lenten study groups are meeting on Tuesday evenings at 7.00 pm at All Saints and on Thursday mornings following the weekday service at St James Thornbury. For details see the weekly news sheet or contact Rev’d Philippa Wetherell, 0492 057 640.

Holy Week
In Holy Week we follow, commemorate and contemplate Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem, his last meal with his closest followers, betrayal, trial, suffering and death. On Easter Day, we share the high point of the Christian year, the joyous discovery that Jesus lives, bringing life to all. The major services for Holy Week are held by turns at St James Thornbury and All Saints Northcote. Walk with us on this sad, then uplifting and joyous journey.
