Policies
Like all other Anglican parishes and congregations in Melbourne, South Darebin is governed by the requirements of the Parish Governance Act 2013. We also observe all Diocesan and governmental requirements with regard to safety, including child and family safety and professional standards of conduct. For All Saints, a Health and Safety Booklet provides a set of guidelines for the safe use of our buildings and facilities – all community members and facility users must be familiar with this. Similar guidelines apply around the buildings of St James Thornbury. Other parish policies include privacy policy and policy governing the interment of ashes in memorial gardens. Our local Mission Action Plan expresses our aims and guides our actions in serving God and the community around us.

Parish leaders and volunteers are required to abide by the Safe Ministry Policy and other requirements of the Anglican Diocese of Melbourne. You can find these, along with other key policies and information about safe ministry here.
Our privacy policies are part of our approach to making the church safe for all people. They align with Australian privacy principles and legislation.
Our Mission Action Plan is an expression of how we see our community, where we are headed, and what we are called to do. It guides our actions, our use of resources, and our engagement with others.
Health and Safety guidelines ensure that our buildings and grounds are used in a safe way, and any risks are identified and managed. All members of the community and other users of the site, such as hirers of facilities, must read and abide by the guidelines.
